Reporting on the Climate Crisis

As our world continues to change, reporting on environmental issues will become the most daunting and important task facing multimedia journalists worldwide.

In our next event, Reporting on the Climate Crisis, Ana Ionova will cover tips on starting out as a freelancer on the environmental beat, including the importance of multimedia skills, establishing yourself in your region, and building your freelance brand online. She will also give us insight into pitching environmental stories to major outlets and how to make local climate stories relevant to international audiences.

The session will take place on Sunday, January 30 via Zoom, from 3 - 4pm GMT, and is open to anyone, everywhere. We particularly want to encourage participation from people who may be structurally marginalised and/or are struggling to break into journalism.

What will I learn at this workshop?
